After extensive research, Klaver Lily Group decided to start a new business establishment in Ethiopia: Langano Lily Flowers Plc.

Reasons are the rising gas prices and the high labour- and investment costs in the Netherlands. Due to the good investment climate in Ethiopia it is possible to control the rising costs.

The Ethiopian weather is perfect to produce high quality summer lilies in 'shadow halls', during the winter period in the Netherlands. Just like in Heerhugowaard, the main priority is cultivating high quality lilies. The Ethiopian establishment with Dutch management is controlled from the Netherlands.

The lily flowers from Ethiopia are shipped to the Netherlands during weeks 45 to 23.
